Ignite is the Sr. High ministry (9th-12th grades) of Resurrection Fellowship. When you come to Ignite you can expect to have a lot of fun, meet new friends, experience God in times of worship and hear teaching that will help you live your everyday life. At Ignite we want you and your friends to feel welcome by providing an atmosphere of acceptance and friendship. We don't settle for who we were yesterday but we encourage each other to be more like Christ today and tomorrow. We donít really think of ourselves as a youth group so much as a family.

Everything about Ignite can be summed up in this statement: We are all about passionately loving God and genuinely loving each other. Ignite meets every Wednesday night at 7:00pm in the RCS auditorium.

IMPACT Winter Camp Testimonies

Impact Winter Camp 2012 Testimonies

Tyler:  I didn’t expect anything major to happen in my life, just great worship like always.  but the first night the lightning word was given and right after, Max Miller told me that I would get struck by lightning. I then raised my hands and started to feel electricity go through my hands, then arms, then my whole body.  It literally felt as if the electricity was rattling my bones inside.

Max:  I got struck by lightning and couldn’t stop shaking from the power of god.  Another thing that happened is I blew up like a bomb, prophesying to at least 50 people.

Hannah:  This camp was incredible! I experienced Jesus in a way that has forever changed me.  On Friday night when we were reaching for lightning I felt a zap hit my finger and someone immediately told me I had God’s power in me.  Saturday night I was desperately seeking God and when I told him how much I loved him he stopped me and so clearly and perfectly told me of his incredible love for me!  I had so any prophecies spoken over me, each one being o perfect and life altering!

Brayden:  Last night I lifted up my hands and shouted to Jesus and it felt like THE holy spirit was in the room and I wept and I knew he was healing the hurt.

Garrett:  I have been raised in a very safe christian environment and I haven’t really ever experienced anything prophetical or gone out of my comfort zone.  Since I’ve been going to Ignite I feel like I’ve experienced sooooo much of God’s goodness I’ve gone into warfare, I’ve experienced the deepest peace I could’ve ever imagined, I had people give me words that were encouraging (and all 9 words I’ve received confirm each other!! Praise GOD!!)  I  even got a vision for someone and prayed in tongues, all of this for the first time.

Around 4-5 years ago I was in a really dark place…I gave my life to satan.  For four years I was in that place.  It got bad enough to where I was visited by demons and was able to have conversations with them.  I’m glad to say that when I went to rez the first time I felt free of that.  I gave my life to Jesus.  I was still getting visits and attacks from these spirits.  Impact camp freed me from these attacks.

Hannah: When we had the tunnel, all the leaders had oil and was letting the breath of God go into me.  I had started speaking in tongues for the first time.

Sethry:  I was given a prophetic word and verses for every kid in my group-something I had been asking God for.

Christine:  I just really loved the prophecy classes and how each of us were able to put prophecy into practical use!  God was giving and pouring out more visions and words for people to me.

Riley:  During this youth impact camp I was touched by God right off the bat!  It was amazing to be able to hear his voice, get visions from him, and get drunk and knocked out in the holy spirit.

Savannah:  I used to be scared of what people thought of me when I worshiped, but now I don’t care what they think.  I have never felt the presence of God before as I did last night, it was indescribable!  A lot of people gave me words that inspired and helped me so much! I was truly impacted!!! Thank you God!!!

Elizabeth:  Saturday night of Impact camp God gave me overwhelming joy.  It made me realize that God is the ultimate giver of happiness.  Also, the night before I feel like God said he wanted me to minister the gospel to others.  I realized this after several words were given to me by Rhema Taylor and Brittany.  I’m so thankful that God did his amazing works of wonder in my life this camp.

Christian:  During praise and worship I was just having such joy and weeping of how he’s so good and was just touched.

Mason: God showed me that it really isn’t about getting a feeling.  It is about exalting him, and making that our first and foremost priority.  And when we do, we usher in the presence of God and we get to have encounters with him.

Bailey:  When the word was given for the girls, I started bawling because I knew that was just what I needed.  Princess Tammie prayed for me, and now I feel beautiful.  I also liked it when we had all the people with the gift of dance go to the back and dance for Jesus.  I went and I felt that we were calling down Heaven’s fire.

Hannah:  Someone had a word to go and have Kate, Princess Tammie, and Harmony pray for you for stuff like self-conscious issues, I went back and went to Kate.  She had a word that I had anorexia.  I felt a huge hug from God and that he was going to heal me.  Right as she finished praying for me, as I was walking to my seat and felt a huge emptiness in my stomach and I was super hungry, which I had not felt in a long time!  I had so much joy last night and I could not stop smiling.

Janae:  A couple months ago, I got a word from someone that I shouldn’t be afraid to just dance for the Lord, and I should not care what people thought of me.  So when Princess Tammie shared that all the girls who had a gift of dancing to go back and dance, I went.  I started to dance and it felt like I was cleaned of my self conscience with others.

Julia:  The second night was amazing.  Five days earlier I had a vision of angels dancing over us and us being filled with light.  So then when the word came for all the dancers I was super excited because I am a dancer.

Mackenzie:  I was having a lot more pain than usual in my feet, I was begging God to take that away.  And he said, I don’t want  you to suffer any more so not only will I take away your pain, I am going to take the weight that has weighed you down for years.  god did that and so much more in my life at this camp.  I will never forget how and what God did here in my life.

Sara:  I sprained my ankle really bad when I was little, and it happened again a few weeks ago.  I was prayed for and it is healed.  PRAISE GOD!!!

Sara:  My right and left knee have been hurting for a little over a year.  I got prayed for the second night and now neither hurt.  I also prophesied over two people.

Lacey:  I prayed for healing for a person of her eyesight in one eye and it was the most amazing feeling on the earth.  Another thing is I prayed in tongues over people and it impacted my life so much.

Parker:  I was healed in my right shoulder and received a blessing of courage and the gift of healing was given to me.  God healed two people through me.

Raelynn:  There was a word of healing for knees and Chresa came up to me and started praying for my knee and she asked if there was any way to test it without hurting me and I did not really know but one minute-ish later I took off my brace and jumped up and down a few times and my knee was completely healed.  Now my knees feel great.

Impact Youth – By Pastor Bob Groeneman

When Pastor Jonathan first communicated his desire to add the responsibility of the older students to us, I immediately thought “This is what I was made to do!” And so, in addition to the Jr. High students, which we have ministered to here at Rez for 19 years, Tammie and I are now also the direct Pastors over the Senior High ministry.

Our goal is simple: every student whether they are quiet and lonely or loud and enthusiastic will be acknowledged and valued as part of our group.

We love meeting, teaching, and praying for these kids.

We thank God for the reality that the whole community of Rez works together to support each other as a big family. We want the number one priority of Rez’s youth ministry to be absolutely clear to our parents, so that we can work together with a common purpose. We believe an “open heaven” experience in a student’s life can give direction, fix bad attitudes, and replace hardness and bitterness faster and better than hours of counseling and reasoning. Bringing kids into a supernatural connection with God will always be our number one goal. We have seen that an “open heaven” experience is also the secret to maintaining an atmosphere of love with an obvious concern for people. When this level of love is present, lives are changed.

We are getting ready for our first ever combined Jr. High and Sr. High Winter Camp and we are confident that the Rez Youth will be hit fully with the power of God. We always see signs and wonders at camp that completely change our perspective. It is hard not to be transformed when you meet the supernatural face to face. Do not miss this camp, sign up by January 8th!

Our regular weekly youth service will continue to emphasize the same level of worship and Bible teaching that we experience at camp. Along with that, Tammie and I will continue to stress unity, humility, and a servant’s heart to our leadership team.

Another thing that you all probably already know is that we insist that youth group be fun to attend. When we have youth services with funny skits and games, mixers, a good message, along with miracles and salvations, I know that we have accurately presented God’s heart—because He is about all of those things!

Beginning immediately after Winter Camp, our youth week will look like this:

• Saturday night: Impact Youth Group.
For Jr. High & Sr. High. 6pm. Auditorium.

• Tuesday night. Get a Life. Jr. High Only. 6:30pm.

• Wednesdaynight.Ignite.Sr.HighOnly.7pm.

The biggest changes to this schedule are that we now call the Saturday night service “Impact” and welcome the Sr. High students to join us. We also eventually want to increase the opportunity for small group interaction, discussion, and personal ministry time in the Wednesday night Sr. High only services.

The Impact Newsletter is the monthly source for details about all other events we do. Call the church office to get on the mailing list at (970) 667-5479. Or you can get more info in cyberspace at www.rez.org/impact

It is our honor to serve the greatest teenagers in the world!

Worship: It’s In Our DNA

As far as I know, worship and praise has always played a significant role in the culture of Rez (thank you Pastor Emeritus John Stocker). This importance that’s placed on the times of worship and praise at Rez are not just during our weekend services in the main sanctuary. The cruciality of having “transcendent praise and worship” (a term that Pastor Jonathan has used over the past several months to communicate his vision for Rez concerning worship and praise) comes from the top and trickles down throughout all areas of ministry at Rez.

When we come together to worship we can know that we are not worshipping a far off, distant God. He is in our midst and He is ready to receive all of our glory, honor and praise. We want our worship to touch the heart of Father God in such a way that it moves Him. Don’t get me wrong. We are not worshipping to coerce or manipulate the Lord to move in our behalf. No. But instead our worship is an invitation for Him to come and be among us. It’s us saying, “God, we recognize who You are and what You can do. Come and have your way. Do whatever it is that You’re wanting to do. We are hungry for more of You.” This is the heart of worship at Rez.

So whether you’re in one of our weekend services or at Ignite on wednesday nights the heart of worship is the exact same. The style may be different. Who’s leading worship may vary. The volume may contrast. But none of that changes the heart of the worship. Be glad and grateful that you are part of a community of Believers that are passionate about worshipping and praising the God of all Creation. This is who we are. It’s in our DNA.

Here’s a little taste of our worship times in Ignite…
