The Elementary Department provides an atmosphere where children learn and have fun at the same time. The 1st-6th graders meet in Rezcue Island (designed by some REALLY creative and fun people). Each week we focus our teaching and games around one "Main Truth".

Awana
Awana is a program that gives children (4-12) an opportunity to learn and memorize God's Word, meet new friends and have fun. Awana meets Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30pm in the RCS Auditorium. For more information, please contact Pastor Doug at

VBS
Each June we offer Vacation Bible School for children 4 years old - completed 2nd grade. VBS is a chance to minister to children and teach them about Jesus' love for them. In June we completed our Power Lab VBS and were blessed to have ministered to more than 400 children. Candyland 2009 will be Monday, June 8 - Friday, June 12 from 9:00am - 12:30pm.
Kid's Camp
Kids Camp 2009 will be Friday, July 10-Monday, July 13 at the Ponderosa Retreat and Conference Center in Larkspur, CO. Camp is for children entering 4th grade through entering 7th grade. Camp is an experience of the most amazing kind for children as we spend time in praise and worship, teaching about God, doing lots of fun activities all while allowing free time and time to hang out with friends.
Islanders
Islanders is our 4th-6th grade servant leadership team. We believe in giving children opportunities to serve Jesus NOW! The Islanders help serve in the weekend services by setting a good example, as well as helping with media, snack preparation, being a buddy to a new visitor and several other areas. They also help in the community by visiting the elderly in local nursing homes and help with packing supplies for foreign missions. For the Islander Weekend Service work schedule, click here.

Special Events (ie: Fall Fest, Family Nights)
Qualifications for ministry positions: a heart for working with kids, a teachable spirit, the ability to work with others, and have attended Rez for at least 6 months. If you are interested in becoming involved click here or call the church office at 970-667-5479.
