We believe the formation of the modern state of Israel was the result of a sovereign act of God (Jeremiah 24:6, 30:3), and
the people of Israel have been declared to be eternally God's people (I Kings 6:13, Jeremiah 31:33, Jeremiah 32:38, Ezekiel 37:13-14 and numerous other Scriptures where God refers to Israel as "my people"), and
the Bible states that Israel is the apple of God's eye (Zechariah 2:8 and Romans 11:28b), and
the Bible warns all men to "touch not mine anointed" --speaking of Israel and the Jewish people (I Chronicles 16:22 and Psalms 105:15), and
we are called to comfort, encourage, bless, and pray for God's chosen people (Psalms 122:6 and Isaiah 41:1),
We further believe that members of the Body of Christ at Resurrection Fellowship are to love the Jewish people. We are to be actively engaged in praying for, comforting, encouraging, blessing and taking a positive stand for Jewish people and the nation of Israel. We utterly reject as error any teaching that states "the Church has replaced Israel" or that the covenants God has made with Israel are no longer valid. We believe it would be morally wrong and a sin for any member of the Body of Christ at Resurrection Fellowship to be engaged in any activity that would result in harm to or be deemed contrary to the wellbeing and security of Jewish people in general and the nation of Israel in particular. In 2007 Rez was enabled by the Lord to send $398,344 to Israel. This giving was for such projects as the Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba, clothing for new immigrants, and many other ways to show comfort and encouragement to Israel and the Christians there as Paul says in Romans 15:27 “For if the Gentile believers have shared in the Spiritual Blessings of the Jews, they are obligated to minister to the Jews with Material Blessings.”
