Amos 9:9 ESV – “For behold, I will command, and shake the house of Israel among all the nations as one shakes with a sieve, but no pebble shall fall to the earth.
I take this to mean that Israel and, by extension, the Church will be “shaken” but our God will not allow it to break us even in superficial ways.
The Nation of Israel will remain strong. I believe God told me that this shaking is moving Israel to look for allies in places we wouldn’t expect. These alliances won’t last very long but they will serve an important purpose. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem and don’t be afraid.
Courage and Strength are coming to the Bride of Christ in matters that have previously intimidated us.
The Bible says, “In this world you shall have tribulation, therefore be of good cheer. For I have overcome the world.”
Our efforts must shift away from trying to avoid persecution or trying to defeat those who persecute us. Rather our efforts will be in loving, blessing and serving those who persecute us while remaining “Cheerful.”
Love will be the theme of churches that will grow and succeed in this hour. Love casts out fear and those who walk in God’s love will not experience the terror that will torment those who don’t walk in God’s love.
The Bride of Christ will begin to develop immunity to the sensational events of the day as She commits to follow the lead of Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit in her daily work and calling.
The Catholic Church is continuing toward spiritual renewal. The secular forces that have historically attacked the Catholic Church will briefly take a back seat to certain religious forces that will rise up in opposition to this renewal. Religious spirits are particularly opposed to those who extend grace to people who desperately need it.
You and I must pray for this Pope, as He will be the focus of much spiritual warfare this year. Let’s pray that he experiences heavenly visitations that will minister to him and encourage him in his role.
In the Front Range, churches will rise to new levels of cooperation and unity as we shake off our competitive natures and honor the Jesus in each other. The church in this region will be an example of encouragement and unity to other regions in the U.S.
2014 will be a defining year for the U.S. as well as many nations of the earth. Geopolitical shift started in 2013 will continue in 2014. As you and I observe this shifting, remember to be anxious for nothing. We should intercede for the people of the Middle East. In particular the people of Israel and Iran need prayer covering.
“What is our role?” “How did we get here?” These questions will begin to emerge this next year on many levels of discourse. Many alliances will be re-examined this year. Some will change.
Because sources of information and news are diversifying, the rhetoric of “demonization” will begin to lose its effect in the earth.
The language that sounds like, “Come let us reason together” will be on the rise in its place. This will take place internationally, nationally and individually.
This shaking will be a source of great fear for those who are entrenched in old methods and monopolistic power systems. You and I should not fear this.
In the U.S. unusual Political Partnerships will be established in 2014, which will produce legislative results the old alliances could not produce. Next year Washington D.C. will be more productive.
I saw a picture of a storefront and a neon green sign that read “open for business.” I take this to mean that businesses will begin to succeed in the face of uncertainty and fear. Then I heard a BOOM. Business people, get ready. I believe the economy will make a come back for a period of a few years. This won’t be a long period of growth. But there will be growth. “Do good business.”
English Standard Version (ESV)
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!
REZ will begin to move farther, faster in 2014. We have followed the leading of the Holy Spirit into several new initiatives over the past few years. These new visions will move forward into greater maturity this next year. This next year will not so much be a year of new ideas or initiatives as much as it will be a year of renewed focus on what God has already established.
This is a year of maturing for REZ. This will be a year of slow and steady effort yielding tremendous fruit.
Having said that, this will be a year of “suddenlies.” I take this to mean God will do things at REZ we don’t expect. He will do them suddenly. We must be ready to move when God leads us.
